Beyond the Beer: Bell’s Brewery Sponsors Austin Restaurant Weeks
Community is a core value here at Bell's and that extends beyond our home state of Michigan. One of the many communities we live and work in is Central Texas, an area in which 1 in 6 is food insecure.
“One thing that I like about working for Bell’s is their commitment to communities that they serve,” Nick Pugliese, our Austin Sales Representative said, “Not only here in Michigan, but all across the country where we sell our beer.”
Bell’s is proud to distribute to Texas and even prouder to help those in the area by being the official beer sponsor of the inaugural Austin Restaurant Weeks. The goal of this two-week dining event is to raise funds for the Central Texas Food Bank. The event will take place from August 16 through September 3 at more than 80 restaurants and bars in the Austin area. Lunch, dinner and beverage options will be offered at special prices with portions of the costs going directly to the food bank.
“Supporting the communities where we do business is very important to us,” said Larry Bell, our President and Founder, “Partnering with the Central Texas Food Bank is a fantastic way to give back and help make a difference for Central Texans in need.”
If a person is not able to provide food for themselves or their family, so much in life can become uncertain. We hope that our efforts can help provide a little more stability to the people of an area we love to serve. If you’re interested in joining us for great food, beer and experiences, then come and give it!
Our commitment to serving our communities goes beyond Austin Restaurant Weeks. We also host the Oberun 5K located in both Ypsilanti, Michigan and Indianapolis, Indiana which benefit health and hunger-related causes. Additionally, we encourage our employees to volunteer for the organizations they are passionate about. Keep an eye here and on our social media to learn more about where we are giving back.
