2021 Bell's Beerentines are now available - while they last!

UPDATE: Printed cards are all spoken for. You can send an e-card here.  Bell's Beerentines are back for a 7th year! Some of your favorites cards have returned, but we also have some new ones to choose from as well. There are 22 options and yes, we had to throw No, Yeah into the mix for sure! You can choose to send one via snail mail (yes, we will still fill out the card, address the envelope, take care of the postage and mail it for you with a little something extra from us) or you can send an e-version. As in previous years, there is no cost. Both options are completely FREE.  Just choose how you want us to send it (snail mail or digitally), who you want it to go to and which design to use. We'll take care of the rest. Please keep in mind, paper Beerentines are limited. Don't put this off until later, they have sold out very quickly in previous years. Please, one per person. We also have to limit recipients’ locations to the U.S. (for those living outside of the U.S., you can still use the e-version). We will get them in the mail for delivery on or around Valentine’s Day. It will be up to you to choose when your e-card is sent (immediately, on Valentine's Day, before, etc.). Alright, are you ready? Paper and Digital Beerentines can be "ordered" here.  PS - You know what pairs perfectly with a Beerentine? Spoiler: beer.

Pizzapalooza is back! Help decide which pizza style comes out on top

Pizzapalooza is our celebration of all things beer & pizza leading up to National Pizza Day on Tuesday, February 9th. We're partnering with shops, pubs, gorcery stores and restaurants throughout our distribution areas to bring you the ultimate beer & pizza pairings.   It's also the perfect time to settle the age old debate: which pizza style really IS the best?!  If there's one thing we can agree on, it's that pizza and beer are a match made in heaven. And it's all fine and well until someone questions the supremacy of your square, perfectly-crunchy Detroit deep dish, or the perks of a 10-foot journey to your favorite frozen pizza...  New York, Detroit, Frozen, Chicago -- what's got your vote?  Fight for your favorite STYLE and vote February 1st to the 8th! Voting will be open from February 1st to 8th. VOTE HERE.  We'll announce the winner on National Pizza Day - February 9th.  To see if there are any special events near you, keep an eye on your trusty, local spot's social media pages, and check out our Events page here.  Suggested Beer & Pizza Pairings Two Hearted with Pepperoni or Jalapenos Hopslam with Hawaiian or Hot Honey Light Hearted with Margarita or Pesto Bright White with Meat Lovers or Caramelized Onion Official with BBQ or Anchovies

Bell's is headed back to Virginia!

Bell’s beer will once again flow in the great state of Virginia! Brewery favorites like the very popular and best-selling Two Hearted Ale (recently named the Best Beer in America for the fourth year in a row), Bell’s Hazy IPA, Official, and many others will be available in Virginia later this month. All parties involved are happy to resolve this matter amicably and welcome Bell’s back to Virginia. “We are absolutely thrilled to be back and we are really looking forward to working with our new partner in Richmond. To everyone who has kept in touch and waited patiently for our return, I say thank you and cheers,” said Larry Bell, president and founder of Bell’s Brewery. Also debuting (officially) for the first time in Virginia, will be Bell’s Lo-Cal IPA, Light Hearted Ale. Brewed with Centennial and Galaxy hops, Light Hearted clocks in at a 3.7% Alc.-by-Vol. with only 110 calories per 12. oz serving. Bell’s beer will be distributed in the Richmond area by Specialty Beverage of Virginia, a Sheehan Family Company. This new distributor partner will serve the counties of Amelia, Caroline, Charles City, Chesterfield, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Greensville, Hanover, Henrico, King and Queen, King William, New Kent, Nottoway, Powhatan, Prince George, Southhampton, Surry and Sussex. Specialty Beverage will also cover the independent cities of Colonial Heights Emporia, Franklin, Hopewell, Petersburg and Richmond. Elsewhere in the state, Bell’s will continue its distributor partnerships with Blue Ridge Beverage, Copa Wine Corporation, Hoffman Beverage Company, Hop and Wine Beverage, M. Price Distribution and Wendell Distributing. About Specialty Beverage of Virginia Originally founded in 1991, Specialty Beverage of Virginia started as a small craft and import distributing business. Over the next two decades, and as the craft beer segment accelerated, Specialty was acquired by the Sheehan Family Companies. Specialty Beverage distributes a portfolio of craft beer, imports, ciders, wines, cocktail mixers and sodas. Specialty has also implemented an eco-friendly waste management and recycling program to be more environmentally responsible.

Bell's Best Brown has a brand new look for 2020

With the changing of the seasons, you will see the return of Bell’s signature stouts and other fall offerings.   Best Brown will also have a brand new look when it arrives on store shelves and in coolers over the next couple of weeks. “It's a mix of the old and the new. It hearkens back to our original labels while paying homage to the heritage of the brand, a modernized nod to the history of Best Brown,” Larry Bell, president and founder of Bell’s Brewery said.  Best Brown (5.8% Alc. by vol.) is a smooth, toasty beer that offers hints of cocoa and caramel. Brewed with American hops, Best Brown is incredibly balanced and bridges the gap between lighter-bodied beers and malty stouts. It was first released in 1988 packaged in 22 oz. bottles. It featured a plain type label and then a winter pine cone. The owl first appeared in 1993 and has been on the label ever sense, represented in different styles throughout the years. Take a look at the history of Best Brown.  Best Brown is available in 12 oz. bottles (6-packs and 12-packs), 16 oz. cans (4-packs), 12 oz. cans (6-packs and 12-packs) and on draft.  Cooler, fall months will also welcome back other seasonal favorites (shipping and availability subject to change): Bell’s Octoberfest: already available at many locations including our Bell’s General Store.  Special Double Cream Stout: shipping now Expedition Stout: begins shipping at the end of August along with a special edition version celebrating Bell’s 35th Anniversary (very limited).  Third Coast Old Ale: shipping in mid-September Side Yard: a limited, specialty release shipping at the end of September.  Cherry Stout: mid-October Use our Beer Finder to locate Best Brown and other Bell’s beers near you or reach out to your local craft beer retailer for more information.  [[{"fid":"10611","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"Best Brown has a new look in 2020; a mix of old and new.","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":"Best Brown has a new look in 2020; a mix of old and new."},"type":"media","field_deltas":{"2":{"format":"default","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"Best Brown has a new look in 2020; a mix of old and new.","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":"Best Brown has a new look in 2020; a mix of old and new."}},"attributes":{"alt":"Best Brown has a new look in 2020; a mix of old and new.","title":"Best Brown has a new look in 2020; a mix of old and new.","class":"media-element file-default","data-delta":"2"}}]]

Ale Mail Round 2: Send a brand new Bell's postcard to someone who needs a little connection

Back in May, we offered a special edition of our annual Beerentine tradition to help you stay connected during quarantine and the COVID-19 pandemic. That first round "sold out" in a short time. If you want missed out, or perhaps want to say hello to a friend, family member, drinking buddy, etc., we've got you covered. Starting today, a second round of Ale Mail is available to order.  Just like Beerentines and the first round, they are free (while supplies last). Unlike Beerentines, you get to fill out a special message for the recipient similar to those books you see out and about that ask you for verbs, adjectives, pronouns and the like.  What do you have to do to send one? Pick a design, tell us who it should go to and fill-in-the-blanks. We’ll take care of the rest. You can check out the new designs below and send one here.  #StayInspired!

Bell's and the K-Wings team up to support local Kalamazoo organizations with a Two Hearted jersey auction

Bell’s Brewery and the Kalamazoo Wings have teamed up to help support two local organizations with a special, limited edition Two Hearted hockey jersey auction. Thirty-four jerseys will be available to bid on beginning July 13 and ending the week of Aug. 10, coinciding with our national celebration of Two Hearted Day.  “Unfortunately, the event we were supposed to have back in March was canceled for safety reasons due to COVID-19. Thankfully, by working together, we are still able to support two fantastic organizations with these unique, one-of-a-kind Two Hearted jerseys,” Larry Bell, president and founder of Bell’s Brewery said.  Proceeds raised from this auction will benefit Kalamazoo Friends of Recreation and the Comstock Community Center. The Bell’s Scrambled golf outing, another annual Bell’s event, was also canceled due to COVID-19. As such, proceeds from this auction will also go to supporting that organization. “The K-Wings are very excited to be able to auction these unique Bell's jersey's to the masses.  Due to the nature of not being able to gather we are utilizing our collective social networks to raise monies for two great local community non-profits,” Toni Lentini-Daniels, K-Wings Governor and Director of Business Operations said.  All online jersey auctions will be held through DASH Auction. Seven jerseys will be auctioned off every week leaving six jerseys the final week. Each auction will begin on Monday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Sunday. A special broadcast will walk viewers through the entire auction process live on the K-Wings’ Facebook page this Monday, July 13, at 10 a.m. The online auction can be found here. Two Hearted has earned the honor of being voted Best Beer in America three years in a row by members of the American Homebrewers Association.  Two Hearted Day celebrates the debut of Two Hearted which was on Aug. 15, 1997. We will celebrate all week long.  Our Two Hearted Night with the Kalamazoo Wings was originally scheduled for March 21.
